SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
This ten-acre estate was developed in the early thirties, but had fallen into a state of disrepair by the time Deborah Nevins & Associates undertook its renovation. This six-year project involved the dramatic reshaping of the property and the thoughtful preservation of several mature trees and existing water features. Through careful regrading, the landscape and space of the property flows together seamlessly. The grounds were modernized through the creation of large, green vistas of lawn and clean detailing of the drives and pools. The pool, centered on a mature ficus tree, dramatically showcases this spectacular specimen tree, while a large existing magnolia was preserved at the corner to anchor the space.
